ASSOCIATE CIVIL ENGINEER

Overview

As an Associate Civil Engineer in our Development Infrastructure team in London, you will lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from concept to completion. You will guide roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities design across regeneration, residential, healthcare, education, aviation and mixed-use schemes, collaborating with clients and authorities to meet high technical and commercial standards. You will mentor engineers, manage project teams and drive delivery while developing strong client relationships. You will apply UK design standards and lead on flood risk, SuDS and planning approvals to shape sustainable developments. This is a leadership-focused role with exposure to high

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from concept through to completion
• Oversee roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities design across diverse developments
• Manage project teams and mentor engineers
• Collaborate with clients, local authorities and stakeholders to ensure high technical and commercial standards
• Lead development infrastructure design including flood risk assessments, SuDS, highways and drainage strategies
• Support planning approvals such as S38 and S278 agreements
• Ensure compliance with UK design standards
• Drive project delivery and client relationship development

Key requirements

• at least 8 years’ experience in development infrastructure
• strong leadership capabilities and team management
• proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage
• solid understanding of UK design standards
• experience delivering infrastructure for regeneration, residential, healthcare, education, aviation or mixed-use schemes
• ability to liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders
