Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

In this Senior Civil Design Engineer role, you will lead technical design for highways and drainage solutions within a civils team, supporting varied building and infrastructure projects. You’ll deliver S38/S278 highways work, drainage strategies (S104/S106), and external works coordination, anchoring designs to UK standards. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive quality, stakeholder approvals, and project delivery. Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of highways design (S38/S278)
• Lead surface water and foul drainage strategies (S104/S106)
• Coordinate external works and levels
• Develop detailed drainage and road design packages aligned with structural schemes
• Manage technical approvals and coordinate with stakeholders

Key requirements

• Chartered or working toward Chartership (Senior or Principal level)
• Strong experience in roads and drainage design around structures
• Proficient in Civil 3D and Causeway Flow
• Experience producing detailed design drawings and calculations
• Knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes
• Ability to manage projects or lead elements of delivery (client management for senior levels)
