Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to recruit a Technical Inspector on an ongoing temporary contract basis to work from their offices in Belfast.
Your new role Working within the Asset Management team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction compliance, statutory regulations, and building standards across the NIHE stock.
Your role will include:
Carrying out construction site inspections to evaluate compliance with building regulations and any other prescribed technical standards.
Assessing whether contracts have been managed and delivered in line with the contract conditions.
Communicating complex issues to senior management and key stakeholders, both verbally and in detailed written reports.
Resolving complex problems or disputes, making sound judgements or decisions to exacting time deadlines.
What you’ll need to succeed To be considered for this position, you must possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent level 6 qualification, in Architecture / Construction Project Management / Building Surveying or a relevant building-related discipline with at least 2 years’ experience working in a Building Construction related environment, or;
A BTEC Higher Certificate / Diploma or equivalent in a relevant building-related discipline with at least 3 years’ experience working in a building construction related environment, or;
Equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning with at least 5 years’ experience working in a Building Construction related environment.
