Site Engineer II

Overview

In this role you will deliver hands-on technical support for a data center, acting as the first point of contact for issues and ensuring rapid repair, installation and migration activities. You will work across internal teams and external partners to maintain uptime, safety, and compliance while documenting progress and driving improvements. This position combines on-call incident management with proactive maintenance in a mission-critical environment. You will contribute to a culture of safety, efficiency, and high-quality service, powered by strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety, efficiency, and core values in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements
• Manage maintenance and repair activities, including subcontractor coordination
• Perform on-call duties and incident management
• Document progress, issues and results; implement improvement measures
• Demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance
• Write and review operating procedures; assist planning of critical maintenance/change requests

Key requirements

• Experience in mission-critical operations and maintenance of large-scale electrotechnical/electrical and mechanical systems
• Technical education / training in mission-critical operations
• HVAC electrical preferred
• Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Maintenance skills for data center electrical/mechanical systems (switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators; chillers, CRAC/CRAH, cooling towers, pumps)
• Building Management Systems (BMS) experience
• Knowledge of electrical switching and isolation procedures in a critical environment
• Pro-active, customer- and business-focused mindset
• Excellent attention to detail; hands-on mentality
• Comfortable with shift pattern
