Overview
As a Site Engineer, you will set out, supervise, and support delivery on multiple civil, multi-utility, and infrastructure projects across the UK. You’ll work within a forward-thinking contractor, contributing to safe, accurate, and efficient project execution from inception to completion. The role offers long-term stability, career progression, and exposure to high-profile schemes. You will shape site practices, help manage technical submissions, and strengthen the health & safety culture while collaborating with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works on site
- Supervising site activities and monitoring progress
- Preparing and maintaining accurate as-built drawings
- Assisting with tender preparation and technical submissions
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and statutory bodies
- Supporting the preparation of job instructions, toolbox talks, and RAMS
- Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture
- Assisting with material requisitions and procurement
- Providing progress updates to senior management
- Supporting the commercial team with measurement and valuation of works
Key requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, including setting out and site supervision
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Multi-utility experience (desirable)
- Excellent understanding of construction and contracting principles
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- SSSTS or SMSTS
