Site Engineer

Overview

In this role you will oversee structural refurbishment on a live highway structure at Gallows Corner, supporting a high-profile London transport upgrade. You will work with specialist contractors to ensure quality, safety, and accurate documentation as the project advances on a fast-paced timetable. The role sits within a broader TfL initiative to modernise ageing assets and improve critical corridors. You will contribute to delivering a major infrastructure improvement with a focus on quality and compliance, on a contract through Summer 2025 with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural refurbishment on a live highway structure
• Supervise and coordinate specialist contractors with focus on record keeping, QA, and performance review
• Ensure quality documentation and procedures are consistently applied and retained
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting compliant with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Operate within a shift-based schedule including nights and weekends to support a fast-paced project

Key requirements

• Experience on a highway structure or structural refurbishment in construction
• Ability to manage specialists in record keeping, quality control, and performance reviews
• Ensure quality documentation is maintained throughout production
• Degree qualified or ONC/HND equivalent in civil engineering
