Education (SEN) Solicitor

Overview

In this role you will support education specialty work within a national Public Law and Human Rights team, focusing on access to education for vulnerable clients. You will handle a varied caseload across tribunals, judicial reviews, and discrimination matters, contributing to case outcomes and client wellbeing. The position offers leadership opportunities to supervise juniors and help grow the practice. Responsibilities

• Manage education and SEND Tribunal casework, including tribunal appeals, judicial reviews, exclusions, admissions, and disability discrimination matters
• Work directly with vulnerable clients to secure access to education and ensure real-world impact
• Supervise and mentor junior colleagues to support their development
• Contribute to thought leadership and support the ongoing growth of the national team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality public law services
• Support firm initiatives around inclusion, wellbeing, and community engagement

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with strong education and SEND Tribunal experience
• PQE 2-8
• Experience handling tribunal and education-related matters
• Ability to supervise junior colleagues and contribute to team growth
• Commitment to client-focused public law work and social impact
