Network Automation Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, deploy and maintain mission-critical networks that underpin a world-class trading platform. You’ll join a London-based team responsible for evolving topology to support high-availability trading. You will build and automate network workflows, collaborating with cross-functional groups to drive reliability, performance and rapid incident response. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on modern networking techniques in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deployment of new network topology for a trading environment
• Maintain and operate mission-critical networks with high availability
• Develop network automation workflows and tooling
• Work on multicast networking and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively

Key requirements

• Extensive experience deploying and maintaining mission-critical networks
• Experience with multicast networking
• Network automation skills and strong Linux/Unix CLI admin
• Excellent scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go etc)
• Excellent experience and understanding of OSPF and BGP
• Clear and effective communicator
• Understanding of computer science principles and passion for technology
