Signalling Engineer – Rail

Overview

In this role you will drive signalling projects for a major UK rail infrastructure employer, operating in London and across a multi-discipline programme. You will work with design and delivery teams and manage multiple stakeholders to meet tight deadlines, ensuring safe, cost-effective and environmentally responsible outcomes. You will implement Network Rail, LU and other main systems, liaising with regulators as appropriate, and shaping robust engineering schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage signalling engineering activities to meet programme milestones
• Coordinate interfaces across design, delivery, and stakeholders
• Implement Network Rail, LU and other main systems and procedures
• Liaise with regulators and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Ensure outputs are affordable and aligned with project delivery timelines
• Manage own time and responsibility for deliverables

Key requirements

• Signalling project engineer experience
• In-depth knowledge of signalling projects
• Client-sided experience preferable
• Strong communication with Network Rail and LU
• Managing Interfaces

• IRSE not essential but preferred
