As an experienced Employment Partner or Legal Director, you lead the growth of the Employment practice in Bristol and the South West, backed by a national team. You will advise on contentious and non-contentious matters for an employer client base and drive business development to expand the regional footprint. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality work while shaping the local market presence. This role offers platform, autonomy, and leadership to build a thriving regional practice with significant impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of the Employment practice in Bristol and the South West
• Advise on contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a broad employer client base
• Develop client relationships and generate new work
• Drive business development and enhance the team’s presence in the South West
• Provide leadership to the practice and collaborate with a national team
• Support executive exits and board-level disputes when required
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with 10+ years’ PQE
• Strong expertise across employer-focused matters in employment law
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and generate work
• Established network within Bristol/South West market
• Drive to build and grow a successful practice
• Willingness to step into leadership responsibilities
