Job Description:

Furniture Workshop Operative

Enhance Sliding Wardrobes Dungannon

Salary: From £28,000 per year higher salary available depending on experience

Enhance Sliding Wardrobes is a family-run fitted furniture manufacturer based in Dungannon. Established in 1992, we design, manufacture and install bespoke fitted wardrobes and furniture throughout Northern Ireland.

We’re looking for a Workshop Operative to join our manufacturing team at our Dungannon factory.

We’re open to applicants with different levels of experience.

You may already have significant experience in furniture manufacturing, cabinet making, joinery or a similar workshop environment and be looking for a new opportunity. Alternatively, you may have less experience but be practical, reliable and keen to learn.

Importantly, the advertised salary is a starting point.

For the right person with strong, relevant experience, we’re prepared to offer a higher salary that reflects your skills and what you can bring to the role.

The role

You’ll be involved in the manufacture and preparation of bespoke fitted furniture, including:

  • Operating woodworking and furniture manufacturing machinery
  • Cutting, edging and preparing furniture components
  • Reading production information and cutting lists
  • Assembling and preparing furniture for installation
  • Quality checking finished components
  • Loading and organising completed jobs
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop

We’d particularly like to hear from you if you have experience in:

  • Furniture or kitchen manufacturing
  • Cabinet making
  • Joinery
  • CNC machinery
  • Panel saws
  • Edge banding machinery
  • Bespoke furniture production

Relevant experience is advantageous but not essential for the right person. Full training can be provided.

What we’re looking for

More than anything, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in their work
  • Has good attention to detail
  • Is reliable and works well as part of a team
  • Is practical and comfortable working with machinery
  • Wants to learn and improve
  • Cares about producing work to a high standard

What we offer

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Established family-run business
  • Modern furniture manufacturing environment
  • Training and development
  • Opportunity to progress within the business
  • Salary from £28,000, with higher pay available for candidates with strong relevant experience

If you’re an experienced furniture manufacturer who feels your skills are worth more than the advertised starting salary, we’d still encourage you to apply. We’re happy to discuss a package that reflects your experience.
