Electrical Engineer

Overview

As Electrical Engineer, you will shape electrical aspects across projects from design to commissioning, aligning with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, and delivery. You contribute to major water infrastructure programmes and environmental improvements, supporting a partnership with United Utilities in AMP8. You’ll plan electrical works, oversee installations, and develop commissioning and handover documentation. This role offers hands-on delivery, growth opportunities, and a strong focus on safety and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan electrical aspects of projects and coordinate with design and operations teams
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and process engineers to integrate electrical systems and ensure safety
• Oversee subcontractors during construction, verify installations meet standards, and implement testing
• Create commissioning plans, inspection and test plans, and acceptance documents
• Prepare training materials and completion documentation for project handover

Key requirements

• CSCS, ECS or JIB
• HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with electrical procedures, including Electrical Permits
• Understanding of civil engineering principles
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
