Business Development Manager – Data Centres – UK

Overview

In this role you drive new business in the Data Centre and infrastructure space, leading high-value civils opportunities from first pursuit to winning bids. You will work with senior leadership, estimating, and delivery teams to shape winning proposals and build strategic client relationships. The position focuses on growing the pipeline, securing major packages, and positioning the company as a preferred contractor for hyperscale and mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead work winning strategy for civils and data centre packages
• Manage end-to-end bid process from PQQ to tender submission
• Engage with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Provide commercial and technical input with estimating, planning and delivery teams
• Develop pipeline and market intelligence on data centre and wider infrastructure opportunities

Key requirements

• 10+ years in business development, bid management, or work winning
• Experience with civil engineering or infrastructure contractors and knowledge of groundworks, enabling works, major civils
• Track record of successful tender submissions and securing new work in data centre or large-scale infrastructure
