Overview

In this role you contribute to industrialising and validating next-gen CFD capabilities while supporting transnational end-users across the full CFD process. You perform advanced aerodynamic, aeroelastic and aeroacoustic simulations on complex aircraft configurations and collaborate with R&D partners. You will interact with a broad customer base, supervise PhD topics, and help shape Airbus’s computational simulation strategy. This position offers hands-on impact in a world-class CFD environment within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the industrialisation and validation of next-generation in-house CFD capabilities
  • Provide end-to-end CFD support (ANSA Meshing, CODA CFD runs, post-processing) for transnational users
  • Conduct complex aerodynamic, aeroelastic and aeroacoustic simulations on aircraft configurations
  • Collaborate with R&D partners and external stakeholders
  • Work in a transnational capability development team (Europe and India)
  • Contribute to interfaces between Airbus and external research establishments
  • Supervise PhD students across CFD topics
  • Support the global strategy for Airbus computational simulation
  • Assist in benchmarking CFD tools and developing proofs of concept

Key requirements

  • 3 years of industrial CFD experience in aerodynamics, transonic flows and propeller configurations
  • Good knowledge of CODA CFD chain use and ANSA Meshing tool
  • Mastering Python or C++ (object-oriented)
