Project Engineer Electromechanical

Overview

In this role you drive electromechanical development projects for Safran Electrical & Power UK, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver on time, within budget and to quality standards. You will manage NPI activities under the One Safran process, shape technical proposals, and support business growth through technical expertise. You’ll plan projects, track KPIs, and maintain clear stakeholder communication, contributing to Safran’s decarbonisation and safety mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development projects from concept to delivery
• Manage NPI projects per One Safran process
• Ensure scope, budget and timeline objectives are met
• Gather and respond to customer requirements
• Develop technical proposals and project documentation
• Coordinate cross-functional teams for successful delivery
• Monitor risks, issues and change control activities
• Provide KPI and project status reporting to Engineering Manager
• Support technical problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

Key requirements

• Engineering degree, preferably Electrical or Mechanical
• Experience in Design Engineering or Project Engineering
• Electromechanical design experience with integrated mechanical & electrical understanding
• Experience creating technical documentation and RFQs with stakeholder presentation abilities
