Overview
In this role you will lead civil aspects across the full project lifecycle for major water and wastewater schemes, ensuring compliant, integrated designs. You will work with cross-functional teams and engage clients to drive practical, safe solutions. The position blends technical leadership with mentoring, supporting delivery from concept to commissioning. You will contribute to standard designs and digital tooling to improve project performance, within a collaborative JV environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide design support and ensure designs meet standards and legislation
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop practical solutions
- Engage with clients and promote a one-team approach
- Manage civil design interfaces with other disciplines and produce documentation
- Act as technical checker and perform design reviews across projects
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery through standard designs and sustainable/digital solutions
- Conduct site reviews to validate buildability and integration with existing systems
- Support civil engineering team development, mentoring engineers and resource planning
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
- Experience delivering high-quality outputs to design, quality and safety standards
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical problem solving
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region
