Overview

In this role, you will shape manufacturing test policy and processes within MBDA’s Manufacturing Technical Experts and Producibility Team. You’ll influence testability across projects from concept to production, collaborating with design, test facility design, and pro­ducibility engineers. You drive best practices, lead test activities on new programmes, and embed design-for-test considerations to de-risk development. The position offers growth, security vetting exposure, and a path to impact across MBDA’s manufacturing lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in manufacturing test activities for new programmes, reviewing proposals and advising on design for test
  • Provide technical leadership on manufacturing test for current programmes, conducting reviews and supporting test documentation
  • Capture lessons learnt across programmes to influence future product development and embed design-for-test
  • Concept and lead IRAD projects aligned to Manufacturing UK needs and roadmaps
  • Drive continuous improvement of BMS policies, processes, and standards across Manufacturing UK
  • Identify and promote manufacturing test best practices leveraging current standards and literature
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant and effective test methods
  • Support cross-functional interfaces with product design teams to integrate manufacturing test considerations
