Overview
In this role you will lead a small technical team to deliver high-quality guidance across heating, fuel combustion, and emerging electrical technologies. You will supervise technical services, ensure guidance is accurate and compliant, and support strategic technical projects. You will engage with manufacturers, contractors, and industry bodies to promote best practices and industry standards. You will shape service delivery and contribute to industry-standard developments through collaboration, with travel and events as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of technical professionals to meet service objectives
- Promote a collaborative, high-performing, customer-focused culture and manage workloads
- Oversee delivery of technical support services and guidance materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide expert advice on heating, fuel combustion and electrical systems
- Support CEO in strategic technical projects and consultancy offerings, monitor progress against timelines
- Engage stakeholders across manufacturers, contractors and industry bodies; represent the organisation at meetings and events
- Chair and participate in technical meetings; support cross-department collaboration
- Manage technical information, reports and consultation responses; oversee online resources and continuous improvement of processes
- Contribute to development of new services aligned with industry needs
Key requirements
- Experience in technical management, engineering, or supervision
- Strong background in heating systems, fuel combustion, electrical engineering or building services
- Experience leading and developing technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building
- Experience interpreting building regulations and standards
- Strong organisational, administrative and IT skills
- Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
