Overview

In this Senior IC role, you shape high-impact experiences in Carwow’s marketplace by guiding end-to-end design from discovery to shipped outcomes. You will collaborate with product and engineering leadership, mentor designers, and raise design craft and pace. AI fluency is integral, enabling rapid prototyping and production-ready delivery. You’ll drive direction, evidence-based decisions, and mentor the team as you scale impactful product design in a fast-moving, AI-enabled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for major marketplace problem spaces (buying, selling, dealer-facing products) from discovery to launch
  • Prototype rapidly with AI design tools (Claude Design or equivalents) to gather user feedback early
  • Collaborate closely with engineers using AI-assisted workflows and contribute hands-on where it speeds delivery
  • Set direction and build consensus with product and engineering partners using evidence
  • Raise the craft bar through critique, mentorship, and example work
  • Champion AI-native workflows, share techniques, and develop reusable prompts and workflows
  • Base decisions on user research, data, and rapid experimentation

Key requirements

  • 7+ years of product design experience in consumer or marketplace products
  • Strong AI fluency with hands-on experience using Claude Design (or equivalent) as a core workflow
  • End-to-end craft from problem framing to production-ready design
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast pace, with data-informed decision making
  • Excellent communication and influence to align senior stakeholders
