Overview

As a Data Privacy Lawyer in Publicis Re:Sources, you will advise on privacy risks and obligations across UK business units. You join the Global Data Privacy Office and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape privacy strategy, governance, and contractual protections. You’ll translate complex regulations into practical guidance and training for the business. This role blends legal expertise with pragmatic, proactive advice in a fast-paced, media-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main privacy contact for UK advertising, creative, technology, data and health agencies.
  • Provide timely, practical privacy guidance to internal teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Support commercial and employment legal teams on privacy issues and act as SME on privacy across the business and employees.
  • Work with Global Data Privacy Operations to update governance materials and questionnaires.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate data privacy provisions in complex contracts.
  • Stay current on privacy laws and educate the wider business.
  • Advise on data partnerships and vendor relationships, including related contracts.
  • Develop and deliver data privacy training materials and sessions.

Key requirements

  • Qualified UK solicitor (or common law equivalent).
  • Privacy certification desirable (CIPP/E, CIPP/US or similar).
  • 5+ years of legal experience, with privacy focus preferred.
  • Hybrid working with at least three days in the London office.
  • In-house experience desirable, especially in AdTech/technology with digital advertising knowledge.
  • Experience applying UK/European privacy laws and industry guidelines in media/advertising.
  • Commercially minded with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic privacy SME with up-to-date regulatory knowledge and ability to work under deadlines.
