Overview

In this role you contribute to bringing cutting-edge machine learning into Starling’s core banking platform. You collaborate with engineers and data scientists to design, implement, and maintain ML-powered features and robust infrastructure. You drive ownership from ideation to launch across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You help shape scalable solutions that improve customer outcomes and push the frontier of AI in banking. This is a chance to influence how Starling uses data and ML to transform financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain features that leverage machine learning models
• Integrate ML models into the core banking platform
• Build robust infrastructure and data pipelines for ML workflows
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists across teams
• Own projects from ideation through to deployment and productionization
• Develop clean, scalable code with automated testing and CI/CD

Key requirements

• Proven track record delivering robust, multi-technology applications in an enterprise environment
• Strong coding practices with automated testing and continuous deployment
• Ability to work across teams and take ownership of solutions
• Interest in AI/LLMs and willingness to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
