Overview
In this role you will support high-value cross-border private M&A and private equity transactions within a leading corporate practice. You will collaborate with specialists across the firm, manage due diligence and drafting of key transaction documents, and guide workstreams and junior lawyers. The role sits at the heart of a high-calibre Private Markets team in Bristol, offering development through a global platform and structured career progression. You will help shape deal strategy, client relationships, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of high-value corporate transactions including Private M&A, acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures
- Draft and negotiate SPAs, investment agreements, and shareholders’ agreements
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes
- Advise on transaction structuring, legal risk and commercial strategy
- Lead discrete workstreams and liaise with specialist teams across the firm
- Support partners with client relationship development and business development initiatives
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers where appropriate
Key requirements
- 2-5 years PQE at a leading UK or international firm
- Strong Private M&A experience; Private Equity exposure is advantageous
- Excellent drafting skills and strong commercial awareness
- Experience managing transactional workstreams with appropriate supervision
