Overview
In this role you will service and repair packaging machinery across the UK, supporting customers and ensuring high uptime. You’ll work as part of a growing service team in a dynamic environment, applying mechanical, electrical, and PLC know‑how. You’ll travel regularly and upskill through on‑site and PLC training, contributing to reliable, customer‑facing service. Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain and repair packaging machinery at customer sites across the UK
- Perform mechanical tasks such as replacing components and working with pneumatics/hydraulics
- Support electrical tasks including motors, drives, relays, pumps, cylinders and inverters
- Fault find on PLCs and handle interrogation issues
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Diagnose and resolve faults with minimal supervision
- Deliver outstanding service and build rapport with customers
Key requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in mechanical or electrical engineering (packaging experience preferred but not essential)
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems including pneumatics or hydraulics
- Competent in basic electrical engineering – including 1-phase and 3-phase
- Experience with PLC interrogation
- Engineering qualification Level 3 or higher (electrical or mechanical discipline)
- Self-motivated team player comfortable with UK-wide travel
