Overview

In this Bristol-based role you will support a growing national Planning & Environment team, handling a varied caseload across advisory and contentious planning. You will work on major development projects, collaborations with specialists, and due diligence for property and corporate transactions. Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate Section 106 and highways agreements and other statutory instruments
  • Advise on planning, highways and related regulatory law
  • Support due diligence for property and corporate transactions
  • Manage contentious planning work including inquiries, hearings, Judicial Reviews and statutory challenges
  • Work on major development and regeneration schemes
  • Collaborate with planning consultants, environmental specialists and other professionals
  • Contribute to a supportive and nationally recognised team culture

Key requirements

  • 3-8 years PQE in planning law
  • Experience in both advisory and contentious planning matters
  • Strong drafting skills and deep understanding of planning legislation
  • Excellent communication and client handling abilities
  • Confidence managing complex matters independently
  • Proactive, organised and commercially minded approach
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Interest in large scale development and regeneration projects (desirable)
