Overview
As a Backend Software Engineer on Neo4j Aura’s Identity and Access Management team, you’ll help rebuild our IAM platform using cloud-native Go services. You’ll design and implement Kubernetes operators and controllers, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant IAM capabilities across GCP, AWS, and Azure. You’ll work with product, infrastructure, and security teams to shape the IAM revamp and document complex concepts clearly. This role blends hands-on execution with architectural influence in a fast-moving cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native services in Go that power the IAM platform
- Develop custom Kubernetes operators, controllers, and resources
- Drive the architecture of the in-flight IAM platform revamp
- Secure service-to-service communication using modern authentication patterns (JWT, mTLS, SPIFFE/SPIRE, client credentials)
- Produce clear, well-structured documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
Key requirements
- 5+ years of backend development or software engineering experience
