Lead Hardware Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own the electronic system architecture for complex vision and sensing platforms and drive delivery from concept to validated product. You will provide hands-on technical leadership while mentoring engineers and coordinating with software, firmware, and mechanical teams. You will steer high-speed digital interfaces, power systems, and sensor integration to ensure robust system performance. This position offers scope to shape hardware roadmaps and make critical technical decisions in a fast-moving, small team. You will work at the intersection of hardware and product impact, delivering scalable, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware architecture, schematic design and PCB development for vision and sensing systems
• Lead electronics development across prototypes, verification and production readiness
• Collaborate with software, firmware and mechanical teams for full system integration
• Support high-speed digital interfaces, power systems and sensor integration
• Drive design reviews, technical decisions and hardware roadmap planning
• Mentor engineers while remaining hands-on with design and validation

Key requirements

• Strong background in electronic hardware design for complex embedded or vision systems
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout and board-level bring-up
• Understanding of high-speed digital, mixed-signal or power electronics
• Strong academic background in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• Ability to operate as a technical authority within a small, fast-moving team
