Senior Engineer – Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering

Overview

In this role you own end-to-end engineering delivery in a fast-moving, consultancy-style environment. You will lead hands-on design, prototyping, testing, and refinement across mechatronics and mechanical-electronics interfaces. You mentor junior engineers, unblock blockers, and translate findings into decisive next steps with the Head of Engineering. The role emphasizes action, clarity, and accountable progress, driving real builds and measurable milestones. Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from brief to delivery, managing scope, timelines, and resources
• Proactively manage live backlog and cadence to prevent piling work
• Lead hands-on design, prototyping, testing, and refinement across mechanical and electronics boundaries
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians to resolve blockers quickly
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering and electronics specialists to translate insights into action
• Communicate scope changes promptly to keep progress moving

Key requirements

• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience with a mechanical and/or mechatronics background
• Strong fundamentals in both engineering and electronics; capable across domains
• Hands-on capability with experience in design, build, test, and iteration
• Track record delivering projects in a high-tempo, consultancy-style environment
• Strong communication skills and proactive information gathering
