Overview
In this Electrical Engineer role you will shape electrical design across water sector projects from concept through commissioning. You will contribute to feasibility, design, construction and commissioning services within MMB, delivering upgrades to treatment assets and network resilience across Scotland. You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team and clients to ensure designs meet brief, budget and regulatory standards. You will help deliver projects that improve environmental performance, resilience and community impact, aligning with SR27 priorities and net zero goals.

Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment on client sites
- Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA
- Apply design standards including Client and WIMES, ensuring compliance with legislation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver to brief, on programme and within budget
- Produce technical specifications and procurement schedules, review supplier bids and technical submissions
- Create URS for control systems, review FDS and participate in factory acceptance tests
- Review existing installed systems to interface with on-site installations
- Engage with clients to manage relationships and support them to achieve aims
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Working towards Chartership IEng / CEng
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders

- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
