Humanities Teacher – Leeds

About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Leeds from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies. The school is committed to fostering a positive learning environment where both staff and students can thrive.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging curriculum that encourages critical thinking and a love of learning. You will be joining a collaborative department that values creativity, innovation, and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum
• Support students in achieving their academic targets and personal development goals
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
• Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A passion for education and improving student outcomes
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
