Overview

In this role, you will join the Bristol ERM team to drive major energy and resource management projects, combining commercial insight with regulatory know-how. You’ll work across disciplines to deliver high-profile energy infrastructure work, nurture long-term client relationships, and support decarbonisation initiatives. The role offers hybrid working and a path to senior leadership within a respected practice. You will help shape market-leading projects and contribute to sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and delivery of innovative ERM projects
  • Draft, negotiate and finalise complex commercial contracts
  • Advise clients on commercial, strategic and regulatory issues
  • Collaborate within an integrated advisory team across disciplines
  • Build long-term relationships with public and private sector clients
  • Support the UK’s decarbonisation, sustainability and net zero agenda
  • Supervise junior team members and support team development

Key requirements

  • 5+ years PQE
  • Strong commercial contracts or PFI/PPP experience
  • Private practice or in-house experience in relevant sectors
  • Excellent technical legal skills and commercial judgement
  • Ability to manage complex issues pragmatically and effectively
  • Confidence leading day-to-day client interactions
  • Experience supervising junior lawyers
  • Interest in business development and growing client relationships
