Responsibilities
- Lead transaction teams on complex derivatives and structured finance matters
- Manage client relationships and matter delivery
- Oversee development of junior lawyers and contribute to the practice’s growth
- Provide strategic guidance on regulatory, documentation (ISDA), and collateral structures
- Support business development and cross‑team collaboration
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support skills development
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (candidates from other jurisdictions may be considered)
- Experience at a top-tier UK, US, or international law firm focusing on derivatives and structured finance
- Strong academic background; deep understanding of derivatives products and financial markets
- Expertise in ISDA documentation, collateral arrangements, structured derivatives and related regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record leading complex transactions and managing client relationships
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and technical skills
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Experience supporting business development and growing client relationships
- Ability to supervise junior lawyers and contribute to wider practice development
