Overview
As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead drainage design projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, shaping technical direction and ensuring quality outcomes. You will work with clients, local authorities, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver feasibility, detailed design, and approvals, while mentoring junior engineers. This role offers autonomy, a clear progression path, and a strong emphasis on collaboration and technical leadership. You contribute to high-quality engineering and long-term client relationships within a respected Berkshire/South regional practice.

Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver drainage design projects for developments across various sectors
- Oversee feasibility studies, detailed design, and technical approvals
- Provide technical assurance and direction across design work
- Coordinate with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with standards
Key requirements
- Strong experience in UK development infrastructure design including drainage (S104/S106)
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, FLOW or similar tools
