Overview
In this Executive Director role, you lead a team of AI practitioners to build and deploy agentic automation capabilities for Priority Operations. You define technical direction, partner with cross-functional teams, and integrate AI-driven solutions safely into live operations at scale. Your leadership shapes how AI enables efficient, reliable processes and value delivery across the business. This position offers impact at the intersection of advanced AI and critical financial operations, with a clear path to influence transformation.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve shared applied AI capabilities (agent authoring, orchestration patterns, evaluation, human-agent surface) and drive adoption across teams
- Lead end-to-end delivery of agentic solutions for priority Operations processes from problem framing to production operation under governance
- Balance productizing durable shared capabilities with developing solution-specific surfaces
- Mentor and cultivate a high-performing AI team emphasizing excellence and continuous learning
- Set technical direction for agent orchestration, tool use, context assembly, human-in-the-loop design, and evaluation of non-deterministic behavior
- Coordinate delivery across partner streams, manage dependencies, and avoid escalations
- Translate technical constraints into business implications and articulate engineering requirements to stakeholders
- Define and measure evidence of agent autonomy and human involvement for each solution
- Drive best practices and ensure practitioners stay current with advances in AI/ML
Key requirements
- Hands-on experience building and shipping AI systems
- Experience with agentic systems in production (orchestration, tool use, retrieval, context assembly, human-in-the-loop) and evaluation of non-deterministic behavior
- Experience building and leading high-performing AI teams (hiring, development, performance management)
- Proven track record leading complex cross-functional delivery and aligning multiple teams
- Exceptional stakeholder management with credibility across senior business, technology, and control audiences
- Strong software engineering foundations (service design, distributed patterns, testing non-deterministic systems)
- Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
