Overview

In this role you will develop and implement robust manufacturing processes for high-reliability electronics. You will own process and equipment across the value stream, collaborate with design teams on DfX, and drive issue resolution and delivery performance. You will apply data-driven methods to improve yields and process capability, aligning with Raytheon UK’s quality-focused, defence-oriented culture. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust, repeatable manufacturing processes
  • Own process/equipment across the Product Value Stream
  • Conduct DfX analysis with Design teams
  • Identify, expedite, or escalate quality or performance issues
  • Achieve On Time Delivery targets
  • Use manufacturing data and analysis to identify and address issues with root cause / corrective actions
  • Report and track Process/Equipment metrics, yields, and KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvements using Best in Class / World Class Manufacturing principles

Key requirements

  • High performance engineer with self-starting capability
  • Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes across various technologies
  • Experience in high-reliability electronic assembly environments (defence/medical/aerospace) or commercial electronics background
  • Proven track record of improvements in production programs’ effectiveness and efficiency
  • Experience leading or participating in FMEA, Control Plan, Process flow development, risk mitigation
  • Experience in SPC, OEE, ESD, COSHH & Risk Assessment
  • Understanding of Six Sigma (or similar) and Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ERP and MES concepts
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 guidelines (recent revisions)
  • Minimum of HNC in electronics related subject (HND/Degree preferred)
