Overview
In this role you contribute to municipal drinking water projects under senior guidance, applying process engineering and treatment design knowledge. You’ll support planning, design, and analyses while coordinating with a cross‑functional team and engaging with clients and regulators. The position offers growth toward a Professional Engineer designation and exposure to diverse, impactful water infrastructure initiatives. You work in a hybrid environment across Ontario offices, helping communities protect and improve their water resources.

Responsibilities
- Support planning, assessment, and design of municipal drinking water facilities (treatment plants, pumping stations, storage)
- Conduct engineering calculations, hydraulic assessments, data evaluation, and water quality reviews
- Contribute to technical studies (design basis reports, business cases, memoranda) and feasibility and condition assessments
- Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to deliver integrated designs
- Perform site visits, field investigations, and regulatory coordination for approvals and commissioning
- Assist with proposal preparation, project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and construction support
- Maintain health and safety culture and proactive communication with project managers and leads
- Support contracts, shop drawing reviews, and contractor inquiries in construction delivery
- Ensure alignment with Ontario drinking water regulations and regulatory coordination
- Adapt to hybrid work with a majority of time in office locations (London, Waterloo, Toronto, Stoney Creek)
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or related)
- Registered P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible for registration
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal drinking water infrastructure planning, design, and construction
- Experience delivering studies, master plans, and facility upgrade projects is an asset
- Familiarity with Ontario drinking water regulations and approval processes is an asset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, regulators, and project teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and Revit are assets
- Driver’s license
- Advanced degree in engineering is an asset
