Overview
In this role you will maintain and improve a highly automated beverage production line at Nestlé Dalston. You will support the shift team to keep equipment reliable, drive improvements, and ensure safety and compliance. You’ll work within a Lean/TPM culture to deliver step changes in performance and cost efficiency. Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in machinery and asset performance
- Provide technical support to the shift leader and upskill engineering and operations teams
- Participate in site initiatives (HACCP, ISO9002, CDM)
- Raise purchase orders and manage stock levels within budget constraints
- Own actions for a defined area and close out improvements in a timely manner
Key requirements
- Engineering capability with initiative and attention to detail
- Experience with modern manufacturing techniques (5S, LEAN, TPM) is ideal
- FMCG engineering experience preferred but other engineering backgrounds considered
- Pneumatic systems and process equipment (gearboxes, drives, pumps, valves, packaging)
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication with stakeholders
- Ability to work with urgency while upholding safety and product quality
