Overview
In this Surveyor role within Property Management, you support the Asset Manager and deliver strong client service while contributing to the Centre of Excellence. You’ll help manage leases, financial processes, ESG initiatives, inspections, and occupier engagement to protect asset performance and client KPIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions, risk management, and excellent customer experience. This is an on-site London opportunity with a focus on growth and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key contact for the Asset Manager across allocated assets and maintain professional client communication
- Assist in handling occupier applications (licence to alter, wayleaves, underletting, assignments) and monitor lease covenants
- Support financial processes including charging, income monitoring, arrears collaboration, and accurate record-keeping
- Assist in service charge budgets, reconciliations and cash flow forecasts in line with RICS guidelines
- Support ESG initiatives and assist in implementing client ESG strategies across portfolios
- Assist in managing third-party suppliers and ensure service delivery meets standards
- Conduct regular property inspections and progress issue resolution
- Support property transitions, onboarding/offboarding, and due diligence with solicitors
- Develop occupier relationships and gather feedback for reporting and customer experience initiatives
- Support major works, site-based projects, and coordination with consultants/contractors
- Maintain Health & Safety compliance awareness across properties
- Assist with insurance renewals and claims administration
- Support void property management and ensure alignment with client/insurer requirements
- Capture and track fee-earning opportunities and contribute to business development
- Contribute to continuous improvement and project-based work
- Identify and help resolve legacy property management issues
- Contribute to on-site operations and maintain professional standards
Key requirements
- Ideally MRICS or recently qualified
- Solid experience in property management or related role
- Good understanding of landlord and tenant matters
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commercially aware with proactive problem solving
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
- Competent IT skills, including property management systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
