Senior Cloud Billing Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will lead complex billing for multi-vendor cloud and consumption services within the Finance function. You’ll own large datasets, deepen product understanding, and ensure accuracy through analysis and cross-team collaboration. You’ll drive evolution of billing processes to support growth, scale, and KPI performance. The position offers influence over audits, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives that impact customer experience and business outcomes. Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely monthly billing cycles with data preparation, validation, reconciliation and executed billing runs
• Lead the evolution and optimisation of cloud and consumption billing processes to support growth and scalability
• Perform root cause analysis and provide data-driven insights to Finance Senior Management
• Act as Cloud Billing SME and workstream lead for End-to-End Cloud Billing and other cross-functional initiatives
• Support half-year and year-end audits as a point of contact for external auditors with relevant analysis and documentation
• Identify, implement and deliver continuous improvements across Cloud Billing processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, customer experience and KPIs
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Softcat to design, implement, and deliver new initiatives with billing implications

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in IT, telecommunications, or similar tech industry within a fast-paced multinational
• Strong billing operations expertise with strong analytical skills
• Experience reviewing and improving billing systems and processes; knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is highly desirable
• Advanced MS Excel skills with large datasets
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and solving complex business problems
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills including engaging senior stakeholders
• Proactive, professional, and results-driven with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong leadership skills to motivate teams and foster exceptional customer experience
