Senior UX/UI Designer, Financial Risk Analytics

Overview

In this role you will design data-heavy, enterprise-grade UX for risk analytics products used by major banks. You’ll work across the product lifecycle, shaping interfaces, design systems, and prototypes that align with the S&P Global brand. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex analytics into intuitive experiences and measurable impact. The role combines hands-on design with system stewardship, experimentation with AI-assisted workflows, and close collaboration with developers. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position in London with a clear focus on user-centered design and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements with product and cross-functional teams to translate complex problems into robust interfaces
• Lead end-to-end design efforts from discovery to delivery and iteration
• Create high-quality UI designs that are accessible, consistent, and aligned with the brand
• Develop and maintain a design system to support new features and technologies
• Build and maintain prototypes in Figma reflecting the product roadmap and new concepts
• Collaborate with developers to ensure feasible implementation and support UI export/documentation
• Review and test features, conduct usability testing, and refine requirements based on feedback
• Explore AI-assisted design/tools (Figma Make, Claude Code) and promote accessibility (WCAG)
• Present design rationale to stakeholders and clients with clarity
• Support quality assurance and verify implemented features match the intended experience

Key requirements

• At least 5 years of UX/UI experience (7 years preferred)
• Experience designing complex data-dense enterprise or B2B products
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience conducting usability tests and heuristic evaluations
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work
• Skilled with Figma for high-fidelity design and prototyping
• Understanding of web technologies (CSS, HTML5, TypeScript, React)
