Head of Human Resources

Overview

As Head of Human Resources, you will lead the regional HR function across Europe and North America to align people strategy with business growth and operational excellence. You will shape governance, design, and policy across multiple jurisdictions while partnering with senior leadership to drive transformation. The role combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership to build a high-performing HR team in a dynamic international energy company. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver talent, HR analytics, and compliance initiatives that enable long-term success. This is a chance to shape the people agenda at scale in a complex, multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the regional HR framework including organisational design, job grading, performance management and rewards
• Develop HR policies, procedures and governance across multiple countries with alignment to global standards
• Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning and employer branding to support growth
• Manage compensation and benefits, salary benchmarking, payroll, pensions and HR budgeting
• Oversee UK immigration, Sponsor Licence compliance and Right to Work processes
• Provide guidance on employee relations, change management, succession planning and leadership development
• Build HR reporting and people analytics to support strategic decisions
• Lead and develop the regional HR team and advise senior management as a trusted partner

Key requirements

• Significant HR leadership experience within the energy sector
• Experience supporting multiple European countries, ideally including North America
• CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, payroll, pensions and immigration compliance
• Proven experience in organisational design, HR transformation and change management
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
