The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a high-performance quantitative trading business looking for a commercially minded Head of People / HR Manager to professionalise and scale its people function.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and implement company-wide performance management frameworks.
- Establish consistent, data-driven performance evaluations across the business.
- Support managers with monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
- Identify underperformance early and manage improvement plans or exits where required.
- Develop structured hiring processes focused on ability, problem-solving and performance.
- Create role scorecards, success criteria and effective hiring pipelines.
- Build both early-career and experienced talent pipelines.
- Develop performance-linked compensation and incentive frameworks.
- Ensure pay and bonuses are aligned with performance and business results.
- Act as a guardian of company culture, accountability and high standards.
- Address behavioural and performance issues directly and professionally.
- Oversee contracts, appraisals, compliance and scalable people processes.
- Provide clear, commercially grounded advice to the Founder & CEO.
About You
- Experience leading People/HR within a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial judgement and confidence making difficult people decisions.
- Proven experience building performance management and talent frameworks.
- Strong understanding of hiring, compensation and employee development.
- Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and managers constructively.
- Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven and focused on measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment with limited bureaucracy.
- Experience within quantitative trading, finance, technology, sports, consulting or another high-performance environment would be advantageous.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to build and shape the people function of a growing high-performance business from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the Founder & CEO and have significant ownership over performance, talent, culture and people strategy.
If you’re a commercially minded People leader who thrives in high-performance environments and is comfortable holding people and teams accountable, we’d love to hear from you.
