Project Controller

Overview

You will provide project scheduling and controls support within the Enterprise Performance Group, focusing on Earned Value and schedule health for the Training Transformation Mission Area. You’ll develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule, analyse trends, and present programme metrics to leadership and customers. The role blends schedule management with EVM expertise to support on-time delivery and decision making. You will work across cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup, driving reporting improvements and risk-informed insights. This opportunity lets you shape programme delivery in a critical defence/ Training transformation context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with logical linkages, resources, and cost loading
• Lead and support schedule development as the programme evolves
• Analyse trend data and provide programme metrics for reviews and customer meetings
• Manage baseline control and auditable change trails for baselines
• Develop and analyse Earned Value Management (EVM) data and perform EVM variance/root cause analysis
• Perform critical path, schedule risk analysis, and BEI analysis
• Collate and analyse finance data (ETCs) monthly from schedule data
• Support WBS and OBS development for effective reporting
• Assist Bid/Proposal with schedule impact analysis scenarios
• Support Risk & Opportunity processes with schedule and cost risk analysis and mitigation tracking
• Balance standard tools with custom Power BI reporting for visibility
• Coach and guide lower-tier professionals on project controls processes
• Lead supplier and partner schedule integration efforts
• Maintain awareness of/compliance with Raytheon standard practices and security requirements

Key requirements

• Experience in a Project/Programme Controls environment
• Ability to communicate across military and industry partners
• Delivery-focused with strong written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to provide clarity and solutions to complex issues
• Experience with Microsoft Project EPM 2010/13/16 and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI)
• Ability to learn internal EVM and schedule metrics tools quickly
• Experience working with diverse, multi-disciplined, geographically dispersed teams
• Ability to guide and influence project teams and ensure proper setup per standard practices
• Commercial and business awareness in complex projects
• Current or eligible to obtain SC MoD security clearance
• Knowledge of IMS and EVM integration
