Key Responsibilities
of the Senior Consultant – Legal Managed Services
Lead client delivery engagements – Own client-facing legal delivery and improvement projects, applying sound judgement to keep service high-quality, efficient and commercially sound.
Build senior client relationships – Chair governance meetings, communicate progress with clarity and manage issues proactively through to resolution.
Diagnose complex delivery challenges – Turn ambiguous problems into practical, well-evidenced recommendations through structured problem-solving and data analysis.
Design scalable operating models – Develop processes, governance and resourcing approaches, turning proven methods into reusable playbooks and tools.
Develop and coach the team – Contribute to line management of junior colleagues, strengthening capability, cohesion and future team direction.
Skills & Attributes
of the Senior Consultant – Legal Managed Services
Structured problem-solver – Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, form a sound view quickly and develop practical, client-ready solutions.
Relevant sector experience – Around five or more years in legal operations, management consulting, professional-services transformation or a comparable environment.
Strong commercial acumen – Confident analysing operational and financial data, with advanced Excel skills, to build clear insights and recommendations.
Credible stakeholder manager – Able to build trust, challenge constructively and influence clients and colleagues at a senior level.
Technology-curious mindset – Genuine interest in AI, automation and legal technology, with the judgement to apply it to real client challenges.
