Mechanical Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of mechanical projects from mobilisation to handover, coordinating design, procurement, installation, programme, commercial matters and client liaison. You will work within the project delivery team to ensure safety, quality and timely completion while solving technical and delivery challenges. The role sits with an established M&E contractor in the East Midlands, offering hands-on project leadership and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive project outcomes, supported by experienced design and commercial teams, with clear opportunities for long-term progression.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from mobilisation through to completion
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and procurement
• Monitor programme, progress, cost and quality
• Review mechanical drawings and technical information
• Lead progress, client and coordination meetings
• Manage technical queries, variations and project risks
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover
• Maintain accurate reports and project records
• Ensure high health and safety and quality standards

Key requirements

• Mechanical project management experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework and building services installations
• Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors
• Commercial awareness and experience managing change
• Strong leadership and client communication
