Overview

In this role you drive precise setting out and installation planning within major highways schemes. You will align with the project’s quality, safety, and programme objectives, working closely with subcontractors and site teams. You’ll develop and maintain quality records, manage risk controls, and support commercial targets through effective planning and progress tracking. Responsibilities

  • Carry out complex setting out and determine optimum installation locations; coach others in setting out techniques
  • Produce Activity Control Plans, refer to Specifications, maintain quality records, raise NCRs, and address Technical Queries with solutions
  • Create Method Statements and Risk Assessments; prepare Temporary Works Briefs; deliver inductions and log accidents
  • Produce weekly programme and monitor progress against KPIs; communicate targets to the workforce
  • Collate weekly measure information, monitor wastage against budgets/KPIs; perform labour and plant reconciliation; identify and notify additional work; manage subcontractor/supplier outputs

Key requirements

  • Ability to carry out complex setting out
  • Experience producing ACP (Activity Control Plans)
  • Understanding of construction tolerances and contract documents
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work systems and hazard identification
  • Ability to interpret the 13-week Stage Programme
  • Understanding of key contract documentation and subcontractor/supplier terms
