Overview
As Senior Programme Manager, you will provide national coordination for Scotland’s Pregnancy and Newborn Screening Programme within SOAS. You will shape national screening strategy, oversee governance, and advise the Scottish Government on service changes. You’ll collaborate across maternity, laboratory services, public health, and policy leads to improve outcomes for mothers, babies, and families. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and national coordination across the Pregnancy and Newborn Screening Programme
- Oversee governance, oversight, and coordination of national screening programmes across Scotland
- Offer expert advice to the Scottish Government on screening initiatives and policy
- Lead planning and management of national screening programme strategy and service change
- Influence across complex systems and across organisational boundaries
- Foster collaborative partnerships with stakeholders from maternity, laboratory services, public health, and policy leads
Key requirements
- Significant experience in programme management within healthcare or public health
- Strong skills in quality assurance, clinical governance and service improvement
- Experience working across organisational boundaries and influencing at a national level
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills including data interpretation and reporting
