Overview

You will support the design, integration and evaluation of maritime combat systems, delivering trials, documentation and risk-informed equipment integration. Working within a collaborative team, you will help ensure interoperability and safe operation across the equipment lifecycle, including sea trials and overseas activity. The role combines hands-on engineering with stakeholder engagement to meet project objectives and deliver operational capability. Responsibilities

  • Support Senior CSEs and Technical Leads across combat system activities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, stakeholders and suppliers to meet project objectives
  • Produce test plans, run trials and perform post-trial analysis
  • Develop technical documentation and evidence for safe system integration
  • Deliver work with progress updates and escalate issues to senior staff
  • Support sea trials on Royal Navy ships and guide Associate CSEs as needed

Key requirements

  • Experience in an engineering environment
  • Experience with maritime combat systems or related technologies
  • Experience in Test & Evaluation, systems integration or related activities
  • Background in Engineering, Physics or a similar technical discipline; ideally honours degree or HNC/D
  • Desirable: working towards or holding IEng status
