Overview

In this role you will build and optimise environmental data systems across contaminated land, hydrogeology and monitoring projects. You’ll coordinate lab testing, manage electronic data deliverables, ensure accurate data imports into EQuIS, and support data export for assessment, modelling and visualisation. You’ll train teams, streamline workflows, and shape data-management practices to accelerate project delivery. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate laboratory testing schedules and manage electronic data deliverables
  • Support accurate data import into EQuIS and work with AGS data
  • Perform QA/QC checks and export data formats for assessment, reporting, modelling and visualization
  • Improve environmental data handling across the business and develop consistent data workflows
  • Provide training to team members and support users of environmental data systems
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and standardise workflows across projects
  • Contribute to cross-project improvements in data systems for ground investigation and monitoring

Key requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Data Science, Geography, Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences or related discipline
  • Experience with EQuIS or similar environmental data management systems
  • Experience with laboratory electronic data deliverables and AGS data
  • SQL, VBA or Visual Studio for data checking, automation or reporting
  • ArcGIS or other GIS tools for data visualisation and dashboards
  • Development of automated checks, scripts or standardised workflows
  • Exposure to geological modelling tools like Leapfrog is a bonus
  • Background in contaminated land, hydrogeology, ground investigation or groundwater quality assessment (preferred)
  • Strong communication and ability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Multitasking and organizational discipline
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge
  • EQuIS or similar environmental data management systems
