Overview

In this role you drive margin optimization by leading category management and marketing for industry-specific BSP products. You will define regional product portfolios, manage supplier relationships, and set up new suppliers to support revenue and EBITDA targets. Working with cross-functional teams, you’ll develop sales and marketing plans, monitor portfolio performance, and provide market intelligence to inform decisions. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to shape product strategy and supplier partnerships in a dynamic sub-industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with key manufacturers and maintain knowledge of the case & construction industry
  • Negotiate purchase and distribution agreements with suppliers
  • Contribute to EBITDA sales and margin target planning, budgeting, and monitoring
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for a defined product portfolio, customers and industries
  • Review and optimize the product, customer, and supplier portfolio on an ongoing basis
  • Regularly report plans and results and drive remedial actions as needed
  • Provide logistical and marketing support and training to launch/re-launch products
  • Control selling prices to protect and improve gross margin
  • Ensure competitive purchasing of all products
  • Provide market intelligence on availability, pricing, stock levels, and trends
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company reports, policies and procedures
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity related to individual products
  • Undertake reasonable tasks assigned by line managers to support performance

Key requirements

  • Working knowledge of the case & construction industry
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and securing purchase/distribution agreements
  • Ability to contribute to EBITDA targets and budgets
  • Experience developing and implementing sales and marketing plans for a portfolio
  • Portfolio and supplier management experience
  • Strong market intelligence capabilities
  • Ability to monitor and report on plans and results
