Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Digital)

Overview

In this role you will drive the development and enhancement of modern digital platforms using React, Next.js, .NET and Azure, delivering secure and scalable client experiences. You will influence technical design and mentor peers while hands-on delivering across frontend, backend and cloud native components. You will work with cross-functional teams to modernise technology and improve digital experiences for clients and customers. Based in Edinburgh, you’ll contribute to engineering excellence and operational resilience within a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web apps, APIs and digital integrations with focus on security, scalability and performance
• Lead technical design decisions and ensure alignment with engineering, security and accessibility standards
• Drive cloud-native development on Azure with CI/CD, observability and operational excellence
• Collaborate with product, UX, architecture and business teams to deliver modern digital solutions
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis and improve platform resilience and performance
• Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable platform services and cross-team improvements

Key requirements

• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services with C# and .NET
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and identity integrations
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub Actions, automation tooling and modern delivery practices
• Understanding of accessibility, SEO, security, performance optimisation and SQL
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and mentoring skills with a collaborative mindset
